Danone Nations Cup
The Danone Nations Cup (DNC) is the world's greatest football tournament for children between the ages of 10 and 12. The DNC acknowledges that children are builders of progress and by “PLAYING FOOTBALL THEY CAN CHANGE THE GAME” for a better future.
Since 2000, Danone has been the proud organizer of the Danone Nations Cup, the world's largest international soccer tournament for 10 to 12 year-olds. It's the World Cup for kids! South Africa has won in 2003, 2007 and 2009 – we have great talent!
World wide, each year:
- More than 2.5 million children
- From over 34,000 schools and 11,000 clubs from around the globe take part!
In South Africa, it reaches 3000 Schools from all 9 provinces. Touching the lives of about 36000 players every year. The tournament is driven by Danone’s commitment to provide a sustainable platform for children’s health and wellbeing. It is the way in which we put into practice our company’s mission of "bringing health through food to as many people as possible". The DNC encourages tomorrow’s generation to go further as World Citizens and be catalysts for positive societal change.
